About us

Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. is a Calgary based company that develops analytical software for the cardiac imaging community. Circle's product suite, suite42, is engineered for use in cardiac imaging.

suite42 is developed by physicians for physicians, and thereby combines an intuitive user interface and analysis tool set, and has been designed specifically to facilitate efficient quantitative evaluation of cardiac imaging studies. Circle's product suite, suite42 provides a range of functional viewing and measurement tools specialized for each of the imaging modalities. These tools have been developed by experienced medical imaging professionals and are optimized for clinical workflow. The intuitive graphical user interface facilitates an efficient quantitative evaluation of medical imaging studies. The first software in the product suite, cmr42 is designed for use in Cardiovascular MR.

Why "42"

In the classic book "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", by Douglas Adams, the number "42" is the answer to life, the universe and everything.

In the story a group of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings demand to learn the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything from the supercomputer Deep Thought specially built for this purpose. It takes Deep Thought 7 ½ million years to compute the answer, which turns out to be "42".
